Someone at the airport guilts you into not getting the full cooked breakfast

OK, picture the scene.  You are going on holiday.  You’ve been up since 3am to get ready, drive to the airport and check in a couple of hours before your flight.  You’ve checked in, dropped off your bags and now your stomach is growling.

You go to the cafe and they have the usual fare, croissants, toast, danish pastries, muffins and various combinations of cooked breakfast.  You’ve got your eyes on the full cooked breakfast.  You tell yourself you deserve it after the long morning you’ve just had.  Couple of sausages, bacon, egg, toast, beans, tomato, black & white pudding.  Your stomach says Yes! Procrastination over making a Phone Call

Do you have that phonecall that you know you need to make but you’re procrastinating over it?  You know that it’s not really a big, scary phone call.  It might be over in less than a minute.  But you don’t make the call?

Maybe it’s phoning a customer that you really don’t want to speak to.   Maybe it’s phoning your solicitor or your accountant or your doctor.

Successful PPI Claim on an Abbey National / MBNA credit card

This is a story of a successful MBNA PPI claim on a credit card.  I took out a credit card with Abbey National in the late 1990’s.  In around 2001 the management of Abbey National credit cards was taken over by MBNA, although for a time the credit card statements still carried the new Abbey branding.  When Abbey was bought by Santander, the credit card statements came bearing the MBNA branding, as Santander wanted to start selling their own branded credit cards.
